This private residence is originally a renovated forest house of the existing 1980’s building. Sited in South Durras, Australias, this residence is a project of Fearns Studio and has been accomplished in 2012. This house clad by the extended use wooden material and ample glass for the doors and windows.

The striking uniqueness of this private occupancy is the irregular feature of the roof in geometry shape. The unique geometry shape roof was folded at one of its side which features a single point. The point reaches the ground surface and continues the irregular geometry feature. It frames the double height windows to see the green garden outside. This forest house design has a large sliding door which specifies the modified living area and expanding lounge spaces which allow the views of bush land surround can be appreciated from the inside of the house.

This two levels building accommodates the occupants with plush facilities that can be seen from the house plan. It covers the studio, deck, kitchen, lounge, water tank, laundry, store, garage, subfloor, bath, study, skylight and robe. This house implies the square plan which merges the diagonal beam with the irregular long sturdy piece of metal or timber at each corner. This post is set upright in the ground and used to support the main construction of the building. The dining space steals our attention with the galley and kitchen island which clarifies the areas of the enlarged deck in the front areas of the house. Pretty pendant lamps in white tone make a balance with the main backdrop. They are hung beautifully in the sloping ceiling. The sleek and glossy hardest wooden flooring adds the opulent accent of this captivating forest house designs with the nature inhabitants surround the serene residency.
